Information booth planned for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Several Purdue University organizations and the American Cancer Society plan to staff an information booth next week to raise awareness of breast cancer.

The booth will be set up in Purdue's Recreational Gymnasium from 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday (10/1-2) as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The booth is sponsored by Alpha Phi Omega, Kappa Epsilon and Health Promotion Programs.

The display will feature a Tree of Hope and a Tree of Memory. Those visiting the display will be encouraged to add the name of a breast cancer survivor or victim to the appropriate tree. The trees will be on display at various locations throughout Tippecanoe County during October.
