Hoskins will study chemistry. The four-year, full-ride scholarship covers fees, tuition, books, and room and board.
Recipients of this scholarship must be Indiana residents in the School of Science who are majoring in chemistry, biological sciences or computer science. To be eligible for renewal of the scholarship, the student must maintain a minimum grade-point average of 3.0 each semester carrying 15 or more credit hours.
Hoskins is a McCutcheon High School graduate who received numerous honors and was involved in a variety of activities during his high-school career. He was a member of the McCutcheon Academic Wall of Fame and received an academic letter. Hoskins also was a member of the National Honor Society, a 1995 state speech finalist, and a committee member of the Academic Decathlon.
His other high-school activities included French Club; Student Council, where he served as treasurer; and the Speech Team, of which he was an executive member. He also was a 4-H treasurer, a science captain in the Academic Superbowl, a member of the Spellbowl Team, and a section leader of the McCutcheon Band.
