Ribbon cutting to celebrate Purdue Research Park expansion

Journalists are invited to a 3 p.m. ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday (10/29) to mark the completion of infrastructure work necessary to develop 50 acres of land earmarked for future development of high-tech companies in the Purdue Research Park.

Officials representing the Purdue Research Park, Purdue University and West Lafayette will speak at the event to highlight this economic development partnership. The event will take place in a tent at the newly created roundabout where Win Hentschel Boulevard and McClure Street connect within the park.

Purdue Research Foundation estimates that the $2.4 million development of the research park's second phase may result in more than 900,000 square feet of additional office-lab space and 2,000 new jobs.
