Appointments, promotions; faculty and staff honors

Appointments and promotions

– Geni Greiner has been named director of special events for the University Development Office. She recently served as the director of donor relations for the endowment association at the University of Kansas. Greiner was previously director of development of special events for Iowa State University.

– Maggie Tittle has been named director of development for the School of Consumer and Family Sciences. Tittle recently served as a graduate assistant to the grants programs department for the Nina Mason Pulliam Charitable Trust and was the former program coordinator at the Institute on Philanthropy and Voluntary Service and the Cleo Consulting Group. She is a volunteer for the Philanthropic Studies Society, Junior League and Kappa Kappa Gamma Alumni Association.

Faculty and staff honors

– Gregory Pierceall, professor of landscape architecture, was awarded the International Award of Distinction from the Association of Professional Landscape Designers. The award is given to honor significant contributions to the landscape design profession. Pierceall has been a member of Association of Professional Landscape Design since 1996 and also is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects.

– Carole Edwards, doctoral student in foreign languages and literatures, has received the Juliette S. Benhamou Fellowship Award. Edwards is in Francophone studies, which is the study of all literature written in French outside of France, and the award recognizes Edwards' dedication and scholarship in this area.
