Indiana's 4-H youth showcase vocal talent at free concert

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Indiana 4-H Chorus will hold a concert on June 25 showcasing 110 middle and high school-age youth from across the state.

The free concert will be at 7 p.m. at University Church, 320 North St., West Lafayette. No admission will be charged, but donations will be accepted.

The choral group is under the direction of Brian Breed, director of Purdue Musical Organizations.

"This is the first year for the community concert," said Pam Robbins, 4-H Chorus workshop coordinator. "This experience gives these youth a chance to work with Purdue University professionals in the music field. It is quite an experience for them.

"Being in the 4-H Chorus gives members across the state of Indiana not only a vocal music experience, but a positive youth development experience as well."

The choir also will perform on Aug. 9 during 4-H Day at the Indiana State Fair.
