March 28, 2003 Purdue Student Union Board selects board of directors WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Purdue Student Union Board, in which students participate in cooperative management of the Purdue Memorial Union and develop student event programming, has selected its board of directors for the 2003 term. Twelve students will serve on the board, which oversees various committees, including concerts, cultural events, fine arts, ideas and issues, marketing, recreation, special events, and traditional events. Sara Solloway, PSUB program director, says serving on the board is an ideal way to develop leadership skills. "The Purdue Student Union Board provides a variety of programs and services that enrich and entertain," Solloway says. "PSUB members serve as the voice of Purdue students. Their service on the board is an extension of their college education outside of the classroom and is a great way to get hands-on experience while developing new skills." PSUB is a non-exclusionary organization with more than 140 members.
