March 13, 2003 Purdue students initiated into agricultural honor societyWEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. Eighteen Purdue University students have been initiated into Alpha Mu, the honor society for agricultural systems management. The Alpha Mu honor society recognizes students in agricultural systems management who demonstrate good character, scholarship and leadership. The selection of members is based on the potential for practical application and management of engineering principles in mechanized agriculture. The agricultural systems management program at Purdue prepares students to organize and manage environmentally sound, technology-based businesses.
