GE senior research vice president to talk on innovation

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – A senior vice president of research for a top U.S. corporation will talk about innovation and growth with Purdue University Krannert School MBA students on Friday (2/7).

Scott Donnelley of General Electric Co. will speak on "Technology in the 21st Century" at 10 a.m. in the North Ballroom of the Purdue Memorial Union. The talk is free and open to the public as seating allows.

Donnelley will focus on how his group has been charged with developing new technology to spur growth at GE. A question-and-answer session will follow.

GE's new CEO Jeffery Immelt has said, "Superior technology is the only route to consistent growth without declining margins."

General Electric Co. is one of the world's largest diversified corporations. It provides electric products to industry, consumers and the government. Through its NBC television affiliate, GE delivers television, cable, Internet, multimedia programming and distributions services.
