September 3, 2002 WBAA Town Forum revisits effects of terrorist attacks WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – How American lives have changed since Sept. 11 will be the focus of discussion when WBAA resumes its broadcasting of the "WBAA Town Forum" at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10. The show will be broadcast live from Barnes & Noble Booksellers in Lafayette. Panelists include Sally Downham-Miller, a grief counseling specialist who has traveled to New York City to speak with survivors; Patti O'Callaghan, a West Lafayette City Council member who lost a cousin during rescue attempts at the World Trade Center; and Purdue political science professors Will McLauchlan and Harry Targ. Targ is a member of the Lafayette Area Peace Coalition. WBAA manager Dan Skinner will moderate the discussion. Tracie Hughes, WBAA director of development, says she hopes Greater Lafayette residents will set aside time for dialogue about these life changing events. "We want to examine how we've changed in the past year," Hughes says. "We chose the eve of the anniversary rather than the day itself, so not to detract from the solemnity of the day."
