Sheep workshop to teach hands-on flock management

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Purdue University Sheep Management Workshop will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 12 at the Purdue Animal Sciences Research and Education Center in West Lafayette.

Participants will receive hands-on training in body condition scoring, parasite evaluation, blood sampling, foot care and management, and forage issues. The workshop is designed for people that want to learn more about managing their flocks to keep them healthy and make them more productive.

The cost of the workshop is $30 and includes lunch, refreshments and educational materials. Enrollment is limited to 30 participants, and the entry deadline is Oct. 2.
