Purdue technology students inducted into honor society

P>WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Seven Purdue University students and two faculty members recently were inducted into the Gammo Rho chapter of Epsilon Pi Tau, an international honor society for technology professionals.

Epsilon Pi Tau, which was founded in 1928, was the first professional fraternity associated with industrial arts and vocational education. Its mission is to identify and recognize leaders and to foster leadership development experiences through chapter programs.

The new members are:

• Alejandro Cruz, a graduate student in building construction management from Cartago, Costa Rica,

• Priscilla Therese Gonzalez, an undergraduate from Crown Point, Ind., majoring in organizational leadership,

• Scott Robert Homan, a faculty member from West Lafayette, Ind. who teaches organizational leadership,

• Eric E. Hoppenjans, a graduate student in electrical engineering technology from Ferdinand, Ind.,

• Lisa Ashley Kilmer, a graduate student in computer graphics technology from West Lafayette, Ind.,

• Eric Kurt, a graduate student in computer graphics technology from Wildwood, Mo.,

• Kevin O'Neal, a graduate student in computer graphics technology from Columbus, Ind.,

• R. Alan Rainey, a graduate student in electrical engineering technology from West Lafayette, Ind., and

• Edie Katherine Schmidt, a faculty member from West Lafayette, Ind. who teaches industrial technology.

The society also awarded a Distinguished Service Citation to faculty member J.P. Lisack of West Lafayette, Ind. for distinguished teaching, scholarship in aircraft maintenance engineering, and research in industrial manpower needs.
