June 18, 2002 Non-traditional Purdue students inducted into honor societyWEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. Six Purdue University students have been inducted into the Kappa Tau chapter of Alpha Sigma Lambda, a national honor society which recognizes outstanding achievements of nontraditional students. The students are: Theresa Prather, a secondary education major from Lafayette, Ind. Donald Brier, a computer technology major from Attica, Ind. Dustin Allen, an organizational leadership and supervision major from West Lafayette, Ind. Nathaniel Cooper, a physics major from Lafayette, Ind. Eric David, a hospitality and tourism management major from Frankfort, Ind. Daniel Behn, an industrial distribution major from Prescott, Ariz. Suzanne Ryan, a special education major from Attica, Ind. Thomas Lutes, a history major from Darlington, Ind. John Shelton, a mechanical engineering technology major from Marion, Ind. Karen Tiede, a psychology major from Rensselaer, Ind. To qualify for induction into Alpha Sigma Lambda, a student must be at least 24 years old, have completed at least 30 graded credit hours at Purdue, be classified as a junior or senior and have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.4 on a 4-point scale.
