Purdue teleconference addresses temporary employment issues

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Purdue University Affirmative Action Office and ADA-Indiana will present a distance learning session on the application of the Americans with Disabilities Act to temporary employment.

Adele Rapport, an attorney for the Detroit district office of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, will highlight the application of Title I of the Americans with Disabilities Act and its relevance to temporary employment from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, in Stewart Center, Room 202. The session is free and open to the public.

The 2002 ADA Distance Learning Series program is presented by the Affirmative Action Office of Purdue University 2002, the Great Lakes ADA and Accessible IT Center and ADA-Indiana. The program utilizes a combination of teleconferencing and Web-based technologies to deliver continuing education on topics related to the disabilities act. The sessions last one hour and include an opportunity for questions.
