Adult contemporary artist Lisa Loeb to perform at Purdue

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Singer-songwriter Lisa Loeb will don her signature glasses and perform at Purdue University on Tuesday, April 23.

Loeb, who is currently promoting her new release, "Cake And Pie," on A&M Records, will play at 8 p.m. at the Purdue Memorial Union South Ballroom. An adult contemporary artist, she is known for her hit singles "Stay," which climbed to the top of the charts in 1994, and "I Do," which was a top 20 single in 1997. Her work, which ranges from ballads to rock and grunge, has twice been nominated for a Grammy Award.

David Worniak, Purdue Student Union Board director of concerts, says PSUB is thrilled to bring Loeb to campus.

"It is such a great opportunity to have Lisa Loeb play here," Worniak says. "She has been very popular in the past and still has a strong following today. It should be a great night of music for students who want to take a break from studying for finals."

Ticket prices are $8.50 for students and $12.50 for the general public. Tickets can be purchased at the Loeb Box Office at Stewart Center or at the Elliott Hall of Music box office. They also can be purchased by phone at (765) 494-3933. Tickets also will be sold at the west entrance of the South Ballroom at 7 p.m. the night of the concert.

For more information on the performance, contact the PSUB at (765) 494-8976, psub-concerts@purdue.edu. The concert is sponsored by the PSUB and Zilo Networks, an integrated entertainment network designed for college students.
