April 13-14: Spring Fest

The annual Spring Fest at Purdue University will be Saturday, April 13, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, April 14, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The free event is sponsored by the Purdue schools of Agriculture, Veterinary Medicine, Consumer and Family Sciences, Science, and the Schools of Engineering. Activities include the 12th annual Entomology Bug Bowl, a "Boiler Barnyard," the Purdue Horticulture Society's 89th annual Horticulture Show, and many more activities. Food will be available at some of the activity locations, and a variety of restaurants are located on both the east and west sides of campus on State Street. Pets are not allowed on the premises. Parking garages on Marstellar and Wood streets are free and open on the weekends, and parking also is available in other locations. April 13: Project Future

The Purdue University School of Agriculture is hosting a day of activities focusing on science, business and education. This program is geared toward seventh through ninth grade students who are interested in learning more about careers in natural resources, food and agriculture. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. in the west lobby of Stewart Center. Students have the opportunity to choose from an array of seminars, such as marine biology or Web page design. The program will last until 12:30 p.m. There is no registration fee, but a registration form must be completed and returned by March 25. April 13: Project Now

The Purdue University School of Agriculture is hosting a day of activities focusing on science, business, and education. This program is targeted for college-bound 10th and 11th grade students who are interested in learning more about different opportunities in the School of Agriculture. Participants will learn strategies to become a better college student and will meet with current Purdue students to discuss campus life. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. in the west lobby of the Stewart Center. The program will last until 12:30 p.m. There is no registration fee, but a registration form must be completed and returned by March 29.
