Purdue sororities to sponsor Easter egg hunt

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Greater Lafayette area children ages 2-12 are invited to an Easter egg hunt, sponsored by the Purdue Panhellenic Association and Alpha Xi Delta Sorority.

The hunt will be 1-4 p.m. Sunday, March 24, on Slayter Hill at the corner of Stadium Avenue and North Intramural Drive in West Lafayette. The event also will feature activity booths, a live music broadcast by WBEE 102.9 FM and the Easter bunny. As many as 300 children can participate.

Event organizer Sherri Wagoner says she hopes for a strong turnout.

"I encourage all 2-12 year olds to attend this Easter egg hunt," Wagoner says. "This event is just one way for the sororities at Purdue to demonstrate their care for the community."

If it rains, the event will be at the Lambert Fieldhouse on the corner of Stadium Avenue and Northwestern Avenue. For directions and more information, visit the Panhellenic Association Web site.
