Appointments and promotions
– Five Purdue faculty and staff members have been named to the advisory board of the university's Entrepreneurship Center, to be located in the recently announced $100 million Discovery Park. The new board members are Arnold C. Cooper, Louis A. Weil Jr. Professor of Management in the Krannert School of Management; Richard A. Cosier, Krannert School dean and Leeds Professor of Management; G. Logan Jordan, assistant dean for administration in the Krannert School of Management; Elizabeth J. Kuuttila, assistant vice president and director of the Office of Technology Commercialization at the Purdue Research Foundation; and Kenneth A. Mason, continuing lecturer in Purdue's biological sciences department. The advisory board also includes nine outside advisers. Cosier is the director of Center for Entrepreneurship.

Alumni honors
Andrew B. Maner, who graduated from the School of Liberal Arts in 1991 with a degree in general communications and political science, has been appointed director of the new Office of Trade Relations for the U.S. Customs Service. Maner will serve as the customs regulatory fairness representative and as the agency liaison between the international trading community and senior customs managers. He previously served as vice president of development and sales for ICG Commerce, an international supply chain services provider.
