Findings suggest red planet was warmer, wetter millions of years ago
Purdue researchers are examining scattered rocks that stand out as light-colored dots on the reddish-orange surface of Mars. Their findings offer the latest evidence that areas of the red planet may have once supported wet oases with humid climates and heavy rainfall comparable to the tropical climates on Earth.

Purdue, Oak Ridge National Laboratory sign MOU to collaborate on key national security research
Purdue and Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) have signed a memorandum of understanding to advance their long-standing research collaboration focused on national security. Dan DeLaurentis, Purdue’s executive vice president for research, and Moe Khaleel, ORNL associate laboratory director for national security sciences, signed the MOU during a recent meeting at ORNL.
