A landmark agreement among major Indiana life science players to elevate the state’s biomanufacturing workforce was announced Nov. 13. Leaders from BioCrossroads, Purdue University, Ivy Tech Community College, Eli Lilly and Company, and the Applied Research Institute, as well as U.S. Sen. Todd Young, attended the announcement at the annual BioCrossroads Life Sciences Summit.
Congratulations to Purdue researchers across all campuses and academic disciplines. They have recently received 27 patents on their intellectual property from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Tyler Kupferer, a Purdue Polytechnic alumnus of the computer graphics technology program, has spent more than a decade building a career at Walt Disney Animation Studios. After starting as a layout trainee on “Frozen,” Kupferer worked his way up at Disney and is now the director of cinematography - layout on “Zootopia 2,” premiering Nov. 26.
