Purdue leaders on Thursday (Nov. 13) joined more than 250 high-level representatives and experts from industry, academia, government and nonprofits for the BioCrossroads Life Sciences Summit to advance dialogue around Purdue’s growing leadership in the One Health movement. Held at Elanco’s global headquarters in the emerging One Health Innovation District in Indianapolis, and presented in partnership with AgriNovus Indiana, the summit convened state and national thought leaders to discuss how Purdue’s strengths in medicine discovery and delivery, animal health, and plant science can advance health and the one-health economy.
The quality and impact of work led by Purdue researchers continue to be recognized by external funding bodies. Here are the researchers who received Sponsored Program awards approaching $1 million or greater in October.
During International Education Week (Nov. 16-22), Purdue’s Office of Global Partnerships and Global Academic Committee recognize four winners of Purdue’s 2025 Outstanding Leadership in Globalization Award. These university-level awards are given annually to recognize faculty and staff for their dedicated efforts to increase Purdue’s global recognition as a leader in higher education either comprehensively or within a specific land-grant mission pillar.
An upcoming concert will help honor the legacy of a Steinway D concert grand that was gifted to Purdue Convocations 10 years ago. Pianist Eric Zuber will perform in a celebratory recital at 3 p.m. Sunday (Nov. 23) at Loeb Playhouse. Tickets are still available.
Purdue football greats David Blough and Ryan Kerrigan have joined forces as assistant coaches for the Washington Commanders. Kerrigan’s in Year 4 as an assistant coach with the franchise he played 10 years for — and still is its all-time official sacks leader — and Blough is in his second season after retiring from a five-year career that included stints with four teams.
