Mitch Daniels School of Business’ 9 department heads look to the future
Following a careful, deliberate process, school and university leaders reorganized the Mitch Daniels School of Business, moving from a two-department school to nine departments. The new structure allows for more agility and autonomy and creates a framework for school growth to help achieve excellence at scale. Now, with nine department heads in place, each shares their experience and goals for making that vision a reality.

Light it up: Battery particles tell the true story of a battery’s charge
Lithium-ion batteries power our phones, cars and even homes; ensuring their safe and efficient behavior has become incredibly important. Using a simple optical technique, Purdue researchers have observed a battery’s individual particles lighting up as they charge — enabling a more complete picture of the battery’s overall health and performance.

Video: Presidential Lecture Series event with Purdue alum and Wabash CEO Brent Yeagy
A Purdue alum and CEO of Wabash, Brent Yeagy joined President Mung Chiang Nov. 6 to headline last week’s Presidential Lecture Series. In his event titled “From Lab to Market: Unlocking Innovation Through Partnership,” he had a conversation on how industry and higher education can collectively advance innovation in manufacturing.
