Purdue has successfully demonstrated a functioning quantum network that distributes photonic entanglement between multiple laboratories, marking a significant milestone that positions the university alongside top quantum research institutions.
A foundational text in modern number theory, “Eisenstein Series and Automorphic L-Functions” provides a comprehensive account of a powerful technique for analyzing a broad class of L-functions. Written by Freydoon Shahidi, Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Mathematics, the book details his pioneering Langlands-Shahidi method. This work serves as the definitive guide to his method, a technique that has become a vital tool for solving deep problems in number theory.
Purdue Global, Purdue’s online university for working adults, will host commencement ceremonies at Purdue’s West Lafayette location Oct. 11-12 for more than 3,100 graduates — a record high for a Purdue Global commencement weekend. Nearly 1,900 graduates will participate in person, and more than 1,200 graduates will participate in virtual ceremonies.
Purdue community members can play a key role in helping shape the future of the West Lafayette location. An update is in the works for the Giant Leaps Master Plan. Campus Planning and Architecture is looking to the campus community to provide feedback and ideas for the update through an online survey.
If you’re a Purdue staff member who regularly communicates on behalf of the university — through recruiting, advertising, digital outreach, printed materials or other channels — the Purdue Brand Network is here to support you.
