“Dellmann’s Textbook of Veterinary Histology” is an essential resource connecting the microscopic world of cells and tissues to the broader understanding of anatomy and physiology in domestic animals. Co-edited by Purdue’s Marxa Figueiredo, associate professor, and John Turek, professor emeritus, in the Department of Basic Medical Sciences within the College of Veterinary Medicine, this latest edition integrates the College of Veterinary Medicine’s own tissue slides, images and teaching materials.

Violinist Melissa White returns to Purdue with the Grammy-winning Harlem Quartet. Known for blending classical, jazz, Latin and contemporary works by underrepresented composers, the quartet is acclaimed for its dynamic performances and genre-defying approach to classical music. The 2025 Purdue United Way campaign is now officially underway, with the goal of raising $700,000 through Nov. 5 in support of local partner agencies that strengthen Greater Lafayette. Jim Bullard, the Dr. Samuel R. Allen Dean of the Mitch Daniels School of Business, will lead the university’s fundraising effort as the 2025 Purdue United Way campaign champion.
