Eat your hemp heart out: The benefits of hemp seeds on gut health
Seed and vegetable oils can be easy to cook with, but carry an increased risk of inflammatory diseases. Researchers in Purdue’s Department of Food Science are exploring the health benefits of dietary hemp seeds, which have a healthier ratio of omega-6 to omega-3 fatty acids.

West Lafayette bus
New West Lafayette campus transit routes and schedule set for fall semester
Purdue Administrative Operations has launched a West Lafayette on-campus transit service, including routes, schedules and an on-demand offering, for the fall semester. SP+ is providing the service, named Purdue Campus Transit, which began Thursday (Aug. 14). Free for students, faculty and staff, the service is accessible through the Purdue Campus Transit mobile app. The app is available for download from the Apple App Store and the  Google Play Store.

ALERT: Annual training, certification and disclosure of reportable outside activities now underway
All Purdue faculty, exempt staff and graduate student employees must complete their annual training, certification and disclosure of reportable outside activities (ROA) by Sept. 30. The process for completing the annual ROA training, certifying compliance with Purdue policy and disclosing ROAs has changed. All three of these actions are now hosted in the new conflict of interest/conflict of commitment (COI/COC) module of the PERA system.
