In Print: ‘Foundations of Engineering & Technology’
The eighth edition of “Foundations of Engineering & Technology” is a guide for high school students to understand the impacts and history of technology, technological systems and the designed world. The book is co-written by Greg Strimel, associate professor in the Department of Technology Leadership and Innovation. The book is a detailed introduction to the core concepts of engineering and technology, allowing students to build a strong foundation and spark curiosity in a variety of fields.

Renowned Purdue drug discovery scholar Philip Low to give summer commencement address
Philip Low, Purdue’s Presidential Scholar for Drug Discovery and the Ralph C. Corley Distinguished Professor of Chemistry in the College of Science, will deliver the address at Purdue’s two summer commencement ceremonies Aug. 9 at Elliott Hall of Music.

New faculty and lecturer orientation set for Aug. 18
University leaders are set to welcome new faculty and lecturers during the upcoming orientation program and information fair from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 18 in the Purdue Memorial Union North Ballroom. The daylong event will feature presentations from a variety of campus leaders, a resource fair and networking opportunities.
