Professor Wayne E. Wright, the Barbara I. Cook Chair of Literacy and Language and associate dean for research, graduate programs and faculty development in the College of Education; and Vikrant Chap, a recent graduate of the literacy and language education PhD program, have co-authored a book in commemoration of the 20th anniversary of a longtime journal on Southeast Asian American education and the 50th anniversary of Southeast Asian refugee resettlement in the United States. “Research and Reflections on Southeast Asian American Education and Advancement” is a collection of pivotal research articles, reviews and creative works about the refugee resettlement and experience of Cambodian, Laotian, Hmong, Vietnamese and other
Southeast Asian Americans.

Today the Office of Research announced an internal search for the next vice president of the Institutes and Centers at Discovery Park District. Following the announcement that Dan DeLaurentis will become Purdue’s executive vice president for research on July 1, a search is immediately commencing for his successor to lead the I&C@DPD. The internal search is open to full professors currently at Purdue.
