The beauty of research is that the conclusion of one experiment is often the start of others. The drive to know more after publishing a 2022 paper has led Letian Dou, the Charles Davidson Associate Professor of Chemical Engineering and associate professor of chemistry, to create methods to produce polymers that are suitable for closed-loop recycling and scalable to industry levels.
Jay Gore, the Reilly University Chair Professor in the School of Mechanical Engineering, has been awarded the 2025 James Harry Potter Gold Medal by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. The medal was established in 1980 in recognition of eminent achievement or distinguished service in the science of thermodynamics and its applications in mechanical engineering.
Greg Etter is proud to be a Boilermaker — and a farmer, an Air Force veteran, a Delta first officer and a father of five. As Delta celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2025, Etter reflects on his time with the company and his roots right here at Purdue. Learn more about his journey and memorable moments along the way (like taking the jump seat to the Final Four in 2024 and seeing at least eight other alumni doing the same thing!).
