Dou improves traditional production and closed-loop recycling of polymers
The beauty of research is that the conclusion of one experiment is often the start of others. The drive to know more after publishing a 2022 paper has led Letian Dou, the Charles Davidson Associate Professor of Chemical Engineering and associate professor of chemistry, to create methods to produce polymers that are suitable for closed-loop recycling and scalable to industry levels.

Gore selected for ASME's Potter Gold Medal
Jay Gore, the Reilly University Chair Professor in the School of Mechanical Engineering, has been awarded the 2025 James Harry Potter Gold Medal by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. The medal was established in 1980 in recognition of eminent achievement or distinguished service in the science of thermodynamics and its applications in mechanical engineering.
