Purdue University and Dallara came together to celebrate the start of a partnership that will connect Purdue motorsports engineering students to the prominent industry leader in the heart of the world’s racing capital. Dallara and Purdue leaders, including Dallara President Giampaolo Dallara, praised the collaboration during a ribbon-cutting ceremony Saturday (May 24) at the Dallara Experience Hub on Main Street in Speedway.
Purdue’s College of Pharmacy is now home to the Center for Research Innovation in Biotechnology and the Clinical Drug Experience Knowledgebase, a comprehensive database of every active pharmaceutical ingredient with evidence of clinical testing. The center provides transparent information and analyses of drug discovery and development via the knowledge base. The data can be used by researchers as they consider additional or alternative uses for current active pharmaceutical ingredients.
U.S. Army veteran Don Bryant of Indiana is living proof of the power behind a Purdue-invented prostate cancer treatment. After being told he had as little as six months to live, Bryant is now doing well thanks to a combination of the diagnostic imaging agent LOCAMETZ and targeted therapy Pluvicto, both invented by Purdue researcher Philip Low. Bryant received the treatment as part of a clinical trial at Indiana University’s cancer center.
Thousands of faculty, staff, graduate student staff and retirees gathered May 22 at and around Memorial Mall to celebrate Spring Fling, Purdue’s annual employee appreciation event. Attendees enjoyed a wide variety of activities, including a classic vehicle show, the 3-mile fitness walk, yard games and bingo.
Human Resources is partnering with the Professional Development Committee of CSSAC (Campus Support Staff Advisory Committee) to introduce the STAR Program, a dynamic professional development program created to empower growth for employees in the professional, operational support and skilled trades career streams. Applications for the inaugural quarter of the program, which will establish a 25-person cohort, will be accepted through June 13.
