The Purdue University Teaching Academy has announced 14 inductees for 2025 in recognition of their outstanding and scholarly teaching in graduate, undergraduate or engagement programs. Candidates were identified by their individual department or college/school based upon evidence of excellence in teaching, innovation in teaching methodology, teaching-related service, and scholarship in teaching and learning.
Purdue will celebrate 75 years of the Old Masters program — and a decade of Rising Professionals — on Nov. 9. The university annually names select accomplished individuals as Old Masters and several young alumni as Rising Professionals. Honorees then visit campus to share their experiences with current students and inspire future leaders.
The One Hour With HR summer series, running from May through July, offers a valuable opportunity for professional development and engagement. Each session provides practical tools, meaningful insights and real conversations designed to support growth, strengthen collaboration and build new capabilities. Both virtual sessions and in-person sessions at Wilmeth Active Learning Center are available to accommodate different preferences and schedules.
As was previously announced, Dean David Reingold has been named the next Chancellor of Indiana University Bloomington, effective June 2.
