Purdue Liberal Arts professor awarded Rome Prize for work on history of medieval science
John Mulhall, assistant professor of history in Purdue’s College of Liberal Arts, has been named the 2025-26 Paul Mellon Rome Prize recipient by the American Academy in Rome. Among nearly a thousand applicants, he is one of 35 scholars and artists selected by a jury of distinguished scholars and artists through a highly competitive international process that supports advanced independent work in the arts and humanities.

Breast cancer drug Supinoxin shows potential for small-cell lung cancer in new tests
Purdue scientists have identified the Supinoxin small-molecule drug as a possible new therapy for small-cell lung cancer. Usually associated with smokers, SCLC accounts for only 15% of all lung cancer types. Despite the low percentage, SCLC causes about 250,000 deaths worldwide annually.

Purdue community to celebrate legacy on 12th Day of Giving
On Wednesday, Boilermakers around the globe will come together to celebrate Purdue’s history, traditions and global reputation for excellence at scale during the university’s 12th Purdue Day of Giving. The 24-hour online, social media-driven fundraising effort encompasses all of Purdue’s locations — Purdue’s main campus (West Lafayette, Indianapolis and online), Purdue Fort Wayne, Purdue Northwest and Purdue Global. Alumni, friends, faculty, staff, retirees, students, parents, fans and Greater Lafayette community members are encouraged to “give back to the Old Gold and Black” by making a gift.

Boilermaker Vegetable Season Passes now available
Reap the harvest from the Purdue Student Farm with a Boilermaker Vegetable Season Pass. Pass holders will receive a box of Purdue-grown vegetables, herbs and fruits on either a weekly or biweekly basis beginning June 27 and ending Nov. 21.
