Bringing experiential education into focus: Purdue’s model offers a road map for other institutions
Experiential education has long been a part of Purdue University, shaping how students learn through hands-on experiences such as internships, service-learning and research. Recently, Jennifer Dobbs-Oates, associate vice provost for world readiness, and a team of educators set out to formally define experiential education — a process she explores in her article published in Experiential Learning and Teaching in Higher Education.

The Purdue Farmers Market is scheduled to resume May 1. The market will take place every Thursday through Oct. 30 on Memorial Mall in West Lafayette and will be open to the public from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Inaugural Community Impact Summit brings changemakers together to leverage resources for the greater good

A Boilermaker fan cave dedicated to the Purdue Grand Prix
Travis Iles and his fraternity brothers developed lifelong friendships during many hours spent preparing a go-kart to win the 2009 Purdue Grand Prix. They also built life skills that still benefit them today. Ahead of the 2025 Grand Prix on Saturday (April 26), learn what the items on display in Iles’ Purdue fan cave signify to the Boilermaker alumnus.
