Purdue topples McNeese to advance to sixth Sweet 16 in last eight tournaments
The Purdue men’s basketball team used a fast start to roll to a 76-62 win over McNeese State Saturday (March 22) in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. For the second straight season, the Boilermakers advanced to the Sweet 16 — where they will meet top-seeded Houston on Friday (March 28) in Indianapolis. Related: View the photo gallery of Purdue’s win over McNeese.

Blaze finishes 2nd, Ramos ends historic career at NCAA Championships
Purdue wrestling closed its breakthrough season with a 13th-place finish at the 2025 NCAA Championships and two All-Americans on the national podium. Sophomore Joey Blaze became Purdue's youngest national finalist in at least 75 years, and redshirt-senior Matt Ramos tied the program record of 14 career NCAA tournament wins.

University teaching award recipients to be named
Winners of the 2025 teaching awards — Outstanding Undergraduate Teaching Award in Memory of Charles B. Murphy, the Exceptional Early Career Award and the Excellence in Instruction Award for Lecturers — will be announced this week and the week of March 31. The awards are given to faculty and lecturers at the West Lafayette location and in Purdue Polytechnic Institute Statewide Programs.
