Perseverance rover marks four years on Mars with 500,000th laser shot
On the fourth anniversary of its landing on Mars, NASA’s Perseverance rover marked a significant milestone. It has now fired its 500,000th laser shot using the SuperCam instrument. This accomplishment highlights the longevity and success of the SuperCam, developed under the guidance of Purdue professor Roger Wiens.

No. 4 seed Purdue draws High Point in NCAA Tournament first round
For the 10th straight time, the Purdue men’s basketball team will play in the NCAA Tournament, battling No. 13 seed High Point in Thursday’s (March 20) first round in Providence, Rhode Island. Tip is scheduled for 12:40 p.m. ET on TruTV from Amica Mutual Pavilion. The Boilermakers earned the Midwest Region’s fourth seed, marking the eighth straight tournament that Purdue has been named a top four seed — the longest active streak in the country and tied for the fourth longest in NCAA Tournament history.
