A horse’s homecoming
Although new to Purdue, Casie Bass is making giant leaps within the College of Agriculture. The clinical assistant professor in animal sciences is spearheading an initiative to establish an equine facility and educational program at Purdue to help make horses more accessible to students and the greater Purdue and Tippecanoe County community.

December edition: Newly issued patents
Congratulations to Purdue researchers across all campuses and academic disciplines. They have recently received 21 patents on their intellectual property from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

There’s still time to earn 2024 Healthy Boiler Wellness incentives; deadline is Dec. 31
Human Resources reminds benefits-eligible employees (and spouses covered on a Purdue health plan) on the West Lafayette, Indianapolis, Fort Wayne and Northwest campuses that there’s still time to earn 2024 Healthy Boiler Wellness Program incentives. The deadline is Dec. 31 to have annual physicals (and biometrics/other optional steps if desired) completed and submitted via the Healthy Boiler Portal.

Purdue, city of West Lafayette snow routes and process announced
The Purdue community should be aware of established snow routes on and adjacent to the West Lafayette campus ahead of potential adverse winter weather. In the event that two or more inches of snow is forecast, motorists could be required to move their on-street vehicles from the Purdue snow routes.
