The American Council of Trustees and Alumni has designated the Cornerstone Integrated Liberal Arts program at Purdue as a Hidden Gem. ACTA’s Hidden Gems initiative shines a light on honors programs, major degree programs, minor degree programs and certificate programs.

Purdue’s John Martinson Honors College has been recognized as one of the country's top 10 honors colleges in recent rankings by College Transitions. JMHC ranked eighth in the publication’s “50 Best Honors Colleges” list, based on criteria such as academic rigor, selective admissions and comprehensive program benefits.

Researcher at International Space Station
Completed experiments on International Space Station to help answer how boiling and condensation work in space
After a decade of preparation and two years of active experiments in space, a facility that Purdue and NASA’s Glenn Research Center in Cleveland designed, built and tested has completed its test campaign on the International Space Station. The Flow Boiling and Condensation Experiment, led by Purdue professor Issam Mudawar, gathered vital data for engineering innovations to help astronauts travel farther into space and conduct long-duration missions on the moon or Mars.

Dead Man's Cell Phone
Purdue Theatre opens season with ‘Dead Man’s Cell Phone’
An incessantly ringing cellphone in a quiet café. A stranger at the next table who has had enough. And a dead man — with a lot of loose ends. So begins Purdue Theatre's production of “Dead Man’s Cell Phone,” a wildly imaginative new comedy by MacArthur “Genius Grant” recipient and Pulitzer Prize finalist Sarah Ruhl. “Dead Man’s Cell Phone” runs through Sept. 29 at the Carole & Gordon Mallett Theatre.
