Purdue, Panama agreement
Purdue, Panama enter agreement to support semiconductor academic collaboration and workforce development
Purdue University and the country of Panama have signed a memorandum of understanding to enhance educational opportunities and workforce development, placing special emphasis on developing and strengthening the Central American nation’s semiconductor industry. The MOU also seeks to create training programs, research opportunities and academic exchanges in critical areas, including cybersecurity, supply chain management, emerging technologies and other fields relevant to the training and development of Panama’s workforce.

“A Posthumous History of José Martí: The Apostle and His Afterlife” by Alfred J. Lopez, professor and head of the English department, focuses on Martí’s posthumous legacy and his lasting influence on succeeding generations of Cubans on the island and abroad. Over 120 years after his death on a Cuban battlefield in 1895, Martí studies have long been the contested property of opposing sides in an ongoing ideological battle. Council on Competitiveness
Purdue to co-host Competitiveness Conversation event on chips, qubits, and molecules
Leaders from industry, academia, government along with faculty, staff and students will gather at Purdue for the Competitiveness Conversation: The Indiana-Illinois Innovation Corridor — Chips, Qubits, and Molecules event Sept. 9 in Purdue Memorial Union’s North Ballroom. The event is hosted by Purdue, Argonne National Laboratory, and the University of Illinois System along with the Council on Competitiveness.
