The U.S. Department of Commerce announced today that it has agreed to a preliminary memorandum of terms with SK hynix to provide up to $450 million in direct funding, and an additional loan of up to $500 million, to support high-bandwidth-memory production and advanced packaging research and development for AI supply chain security in the U.S. The announcement also promises to create more than 800 new jobs in Indiana.
Purdue Research Foundation President Brian Edelman has announced that he will step down after nearly 10 years with the Foundation. A national search will be launched to identify the Foundation’s next leader. More than 1,700 graduating students took their next giant leap during Purdue University’s two summer commencement ceremonies at Elliott Hall of Music on Aug. 3. Of those who walked across the stage at the weekend’s ceremonies, 634 were undergraduates, 1,065 were graduate students, and 12 were students from Purdue Polytechnic’s statewide programs.
