States consider new science-backed solution to save time and money on concrete infrastructure repair
A Purdue University invention that may shorten construction timelines and increase long-term durability of concrete highways, bridges and other transportation infrastructure is emerging as a viable alternative to methods that have been used for decades to estimate when newly poured concrete is mature enough to withstand heavy loads such as those from trucks and other vehicles. The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials’ Committee on Materials and Pavements has approved the Purdue-developed method as a new national standard.

Purdue MHA graduate plans to make a difference in veteran health care
From the moment Suesan Coleman was born, military life was baked into her DNA. Her dad served in the U.S. Army for 24 years, and her family moved around in support of his career. She developed an appreciation for the sacrifices service members make for their country, and those their families make for them. Intent on starting a master’s of health administration, she searched for “best online MHA program” to accommodate her schedule as a mom and teacher, and Purdue’s top-ranked program was the first to pop up.
