Boilermaker Olympians ready for Paris 
No matter how you measure it, experience will serve as a teacher for the Purdue athletes participating in the Paris Summer Olympics. In diving, there will be the added benefit of having four-time medalist David Boudia as an assistant coach of Team USA. Boilermaker athletes will also compete in swimming, volleyball, golf and track-and-field events at the Summer Olympics.

PhD candidate Kendrick Hardaway awarded Fulbright Scholarship in New Zealand

To research this question and offer actionable solutions, Purdue environmental and ecological engineering PhD candidate Kendrick Hardaway, who also earned a master’s degree from Purdue, was awarded a 2023-24 Fulbright Scholarship at the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand.

Purdue Extension to present engaging art and nature demonstrations at Indiana State Fair
The Indiana State Fair kicks off Aug. 2 and highlights the theme “The Art & Nature of Fun” in collaboration with Newfields. Fairgoers will have the opportunity to speak with Purdue University representatives about agricultural and nature-related topics, which are available year-round through Purdue Extension.

Nurse
Purdue University Fire Department, School of Nursing partner to provide students real-world experiences
A newly established partnership between the Purdue University Fire Department and Purdue School of Nursing provides a clinical opportunity to observe firefighters during their shifts, specifically responding to emergency medical calls across the West Lafayette campus. Along with standard fire services, PUFD provides medical services, as every firefighter is either a certified EMT or licensed paramedic. Senior nursing students enrolled in a public health course ride along in the ambulances to observe prehospital patient care.
