Alfred López named head of Department of English
After a national search, professor Alfred López has been appointed as head of the Department of English, beginning July 1. López joined the English faculty at Purdue in 2007 and has also taught courses and directed programs in Latin American and Latino studies, global studies, comparative literature, and American studies.

USA Swimming LIVE presented by Purdue University transformed Indianapolis' Georgia Street into a vibrant hub of excitement and community spirit from June 14-23. Kicking off with the Starting Block Party, this nine-day extravaganza coincided with the 2024 U.S. Olympic Team Swimming Trials, bringing together live musical performances, delicious food and drinks, and a plethora of engaging activities. The event was a celebration of athletic excellence, camaraderie and the indomitable Boilermaker pride.
