In Print: ‘Truthmaking’
Written by associate professor of philosophy Jamin Asay, “Truthmaking” is the metaphysical exploration of the idea that what is true depends upon what exists. Truthmaker theorists argue about what the truthmaking relation involves, which truths require truthmakers and what those truthmakers are. Asay’s book covers the dominant views on these core issues and is the latest in Purdue Today’s weekly “In Print” series, which highlights faculty expertise across a diversity of subjects and disciplines.
