Korean ambassador visits Purdue University
Hyundong Cho, ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the United States, spent Wednesday (April 3) afternoon at Purdue University visiting with Korean American faculty and researchers, and Purdue President Mung Chiang. The trip was part of Wednesday’s announcement involving South Korea memory chipmaker SK hynix, which formally released its plans to construct a $4 billion advanced chip-packaging facility near Purdue.

Video: How AI can help solve food insecurity
In 2022 food insecurity was found in 100% of U.S. counties. Purdue computer science professor Alex Psomas has partnered with the Indy Hunger Network to battle this problem using artificial intelligence. AI is a foundational component of the Institute for Physical AI, a Purdue Computes initiative. In this video, Psomas explains how the use of AI in food collection and distribution will allow food banks to scale their operations.
