On March 1, Trimble Inc. — a multibillion-dollar technology company that provides novel hardware, software and more to a wide range of industries — joined Purdue Polytechnic and President Mung Chiang for the dedication of the Trimble Technology Lab in Dudley Hall. The lab is designed to bring some of the company’s best and most versatile tools into the classroom environment for students endeavoring to work as experts in the built environment.
Purdue University and the Purdue for Life Foundation are seeking volunteers for a special spring Purdue Day of Service, to be held April 26 at Horticulture Park. This event, which will celebrate both Arbor Day and National Volunteer Month, will once again feature tree planting and beautification work. Those interested in volunteering can register here.
Purdue’s oldest and most iconic building, University Hall, is undergoing a remarkable transformation. A full renovation will restore University Hall’s elegance and defining architectural elements. This project will recapture the building's function as a vibrant student hub for future generations of Boilermakers and will create a new front door for the College of Liberal Arts. No. 3 Purdue improved to 27-3 overall and 16-3 in the Big Ten Conference with a 77-71 win Wednesday evening over No. 12 Illinois in Champaign. The win enabled Purdue to win the outright Big Ten regular-season championship for the second straight year.
