Trustees sign off on Purdue budget, 9th and 10th years of frozen tuition

Purdue trustees today (June 11) approved the tuition and fee schedules for the 2022 and 2023 fiscal years and the University’s operating budget for the 2022 fiscal year. Tuition will remain frozen on Purdue’s main campus for the ninth and 10th consecutive years, keeping base undergraduate tuition and fees for Indiana residents under $10,000 per year.

Equity Task Force provides implementation update to Purdue trustees

Charged by the Board of Trustees in the fall of 2020, Purdue continues taking steps to enhance the experience for Black Boilermakers. As part of the multimillion-dollar Equity Task Force initiative, Purdue is hiring additional recruiters to help attract Black students; is expanding existing programs such as Emerging Leaders; and thanks to more than $25 million in donations, is introducing more scholarship opportunities for underrepresented minority students.

Purdue trustees approve named and distinguished faculty, civics literacy requirement, posthumous degrees, resolutions of appreciation

The Purdue Board of Trustees today (June 11) ratified six professor positions, one administrative position and the civics literacy proficiency graduation requirement, and awarded a posthumous Bachelor of Science degree and a posthumous Doctor of Philosophy degree. Trustees also approved the reorganizing of a college and resolutions of appreciation for two retiring administrators, an outgoing board member and friends of the University.

Trustees approve naming of facilities, program

Purdue trustees today (June 11) approved the naming of the Bob and Trudy Hull “All-American” Marching Band Complex, the Morgan and Kate Burke Southwest Entrance of Mackey Arena, and the Dave and Jacque Owens Career Development Gateway for Purdue Athletics.

Courageous Parker sisters were ‘Boilermakers in every sense’

In the fall of 1946, Boilermakers Frieda and Winifred Parker led the campaign that compelled Purdue to integrate its student housing. Today (June 11), the Purdue Board of Trustees formally celebrated the sisters’ legacy by naming residence halls in their honor — Frieda Parker Hall and Winifred Parker Hall. Purdue University Global launches Purdue Global Moves

Purdue University Global today (June 11) launched its inaugural Purdue Global Moves – four strategic initiatives designed to help the university meet its goals of results, growth and innovation. Chancellor Frank Dooley presented the Purdue Global Moves to the Purdue Global Board of Trustees at its public meeting on the West Lafayette campus.
