Purdue launches Next Moves initiatives

Purdue University today (April 9) officially launched Purdue’s Next Moves – five new distinct strategic initiatives designed to advance the University’s competitive advantage in its continuing quest for leadership among the world’s top research and teaching institutions. Purdue’s Board of Trustees, during its public meeting at the West Lafayette campus, heard from initiative leaders and voted to approve the Next Moves and an investment of $260 million over five years, with an estimated $182 million from university funds and an additional $78 million from external sources.

Daniels reports on affordability initiative

In his report to the Board of Trustees, President Mitch Daniels provided an update on the University’s affordability initiative. New data show student debt levels have continued to decline.

Purdue trustees approve bachelor's degree in music; ratify faculty positions, promotions; honor friends of the university

The Purdue University Board of Trustees today (April 9) approved the creation of a Bachelor of Arts degree in music, ratified two faculty positions and the promotion and tenure of faculty, and issued a resolution of appreciation for friends of the university.

Board approves winter recess for 2021

At the recommendation of President Mitch Daniels, the Purdue University Board of Trustees today (April 9) approved for 2021 the addition of a three-day winter recess on Dec. 27-29 for faculty and staff on Purdue’s West Lafayette, Fort Wayne and Northwest campuses. The three days are in addition to approved University holidays already scheduled on Dec. 23, 24, 30 and 31.

Purdue University's Board of Trustees today (April 9) approved faculty promotions. The following promotions are effective with the 2021-22 academic year. Exact dates are noted by campus or individual.
