Purdue WL declares snow recess, cancels classes and closes offices

Purdue University West Lafayette has declared a snow recess that will suspend all classes and most University operations for Tuesday (Feb. 1). The University is scheduled to resume its normal operating schedule beginning at 6 a.m. Wednesday (Feb. 2).

Most University employees will not report for campus duty until 6 a.m. or later on Wednesday (Feb. 2). Some personnel are required to stay on campus for all or part of the duration of the snow recess to maintain the University's essential operations. Those personnel are determined by their departments and include, but are not limited to, key personnel in the residence halls, student health care center, food stores, physical facilities, Memorial Union and transportation services.
