Imaginestics LLC to receive national technology award

Imaginestics LLC will receive a 2007 Tibbetts Award from the Small Business Technology Council on Oct. 10 in Washington, D.C., for its work in developing the first online visual search engine for manufacturing.

Purdue to host Latino leaders' meeting in 2008

More than 200 students from Indiana colleges and high schools are expected to come to West Lafayette in March to discuss issues facing Latino college students.

The Latino Leadership Conference, a joint effort between Purdue and Indiana University, has been held in Bloomington since 1999. The 2008 conference will be March 1. More

Faculty entrepreneur honored for contributions to national security

The United States can provide more effective responses to natural disasters, health crises and terrorist threats, thanks in part to a Purdue professor who is the 2007 recipient of the university's Outstanding Commercialization Award.

— Oct. 3. 7 p.m. Fowler Hall, Stewart Center. The August Wilson Song Book, a collection of songs from Wilson's 10-play dramatic cycle. Each character sings of how they either lost their song or identity or rediscovered it. See more here.

Alum to discuss award-winning film

Oct. 4. 4:30 p.m. Room 239, Stanley Coulter. Purdue graduate Maksodul (Mak) Hossain — winner of the Student Academy Award Bronze Medal for his documentary "Three Beauties" — will present, discuss and answer questions about both "Three Beauties" and his most recent short film, "Status." The program will last approximately 50 minutes.
