Black Feminist Literary Praxis Clarence E. Dammon Dean Academic Year 2022 Accepted Black women writers, Black feminist thought, African American women writers This research project traces the artistic and activist tradition of the production of contemporary Black feminist literature since the 1970s and explores how Black women writers have explored themes of social justice in their novels. Among other topics, this project considers how online book clubs and social media sites engage and utilize literature to advance social justice issues. Jennifer Freeman Marshall The intern will collect data and input findings into a related database. In some instances, the intern will conduct basic research.
