WMD (Non)Proliferation: Perceptions and Norms DUIRI - Discovery Undergraduate Interdisciplinary Research Internship Spring 2025 Accepted Global Security Understanding and limiting the spread of Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) is a crucial component of global security. In this project, we address two main research questions: How and why do states and non-state actors pursue Weapons of Mass Destruction? How do perceptions and norms surrounding WMD shape these choices and the international community's responses to them? Miriam Marina Barnum Austin Rory Cooper Undergraduate researchers will work with faculty mentors in History and Political Science to collect and analyze data, both qualitative and quantitative, relevant to the research questions described above.
