Program Information
The PARI Scholars Program at Purdue offers undergraduates immersive, hands-on research experiences across PARI’s cutting-edge labs—including the Hypersonics Lab (with HARF and HAMTC facilities manufacturing and wind tunnel testing), Microelectronics Lab (focusing on design, fabrication, and characterization of defense-grade electronic systems), Infrastructure Innovation Lab (civil-engineering solutions and structural testing), Energetics Lab (development of advanced energetic materials), and the Technology Acceleration & Innovation Lab (tackling global development, agri-food systems, and humanitarian-aid challenges). Students will gain multidisciplinary exposure to experimental methods, additive manufacturing, simulation, and field-scale prototyping, regardless of prior experience, working alongside PARI staff and industry partners to translate discovery into real-world impact. Project Managers and Lab Directors at PARI may post applied research projects that require undergraduate support through the PARI Scholars Program. These opportunities are made available in advance of each academic semester and summer session, allowing students to review, select, and apply for PARI projects aligned with their interests and skills. Each posting includes details such as project objectives, required qualifications, and expected outcomes, ensuring students are well-prepared to contribute meaningfully to ongoing research initiatives. Prior laboratory or research experience is desired but is not required.
